Over the past years we have seen many changes in decorating our homes.
One of those changes is the repurposing of items such as vintage and antiques and using them in our home.
An example of repurposing is almost everyones favorite the mason jar. There are tons of uses for them, pencil holder, crayons, soap dispenser, cotton balls, makeup, and sugar and the list can go on and on.
These mason jars have been used so much over the years their almost a decorating staple in some of our homes.
For some of us our thinking towards home decorating has changed to more of scaling back and a more simplified home.
Using vintage and antique decor is a fun and eclectic way of decorating bringing personality into our homes. There are options like more rustic and rusty pieces or a mix of antique vintage with present age decor.
Finding these items and getting a good price for your item can be hard some times. Your best bet would be going to flea markets, thrift shops, auctions, public sales, and yards sales.
Today I want to share with you How I used a Vintage Pepsi Cooler as vintage decor in our home.
This is what I did with the Cooler. The flowers are artificial but I think they look real and country looking. I filled the cooler with balled up news paper and placed inside the cooler. The newspaper helps to keep the flowers upright. I placed the flowers inside and arranged them, added some moss on top to cover the newspaper and give it a much more put together look.
I think it turned out nice no damage done to the Pepsi cooler! I placed the Cooler in our bay window.
Another way I’ve used this cooler is for storage of magazines that I keep.
