Peppermint is the oil that is top on my list for head, neck and leg aches. Peppermint is the very first oil that I tried when I was looking for a more natural alternative for neck discomfort and head aches. I also use peppermint oil on my shins sometimes they will ache for no reason that I know of.
Peppermint is also good for diffusing, you can also put a little in the palm of your hands, cup your hands to your nose inhale its invigorating. Topical is the way I use it it gives a cool tingling sensation when applied to the skin and in a short time I have relief from my discomfort/ache.
Peppermint is also called a hot oil and should be used with a carrier oil such as coconut oil, almond oil, or even olive oil before applied to the skin. I use coconut oil 1-2 squirts of oil in my hand and 1-2 drops peppermint oil. Rub on neck and shoulders
Frankincense helps with discomfort and ache relief, and inflammation. I use Frankincense everyday morning and night for preventive care of discomfort to neck and shoulders, I also use Frankincense for anxiety I rub on my chest. I’ve also used this on my shins too for discomfort.
Panaway Is an Oil from Young Living and is a blend of Wintergreen, Helichrysum, Clove, and Peppermint essential oils. Use with a squirt of carrier oil in the palm of your hand and a drop of Panaway and massage into the area of ache or soreness. This can be used after a workout too.
There is so much more to essential oils to learn and The thing about oils is that you have to try them and use them consistently for them to work. My hope is that you received some knowledge from this post. If you have questions please let me know.
