Repurposing Vintage Enamel Ware Strainer
My vintage enamel ware strainer is a great vintage color of green. Two toned green sorta sage green with a darker green, Measures Approximate 10” widest area across the top. Strainer Holes are in the bottom only. The bottom of the strainer has some wear but that gives it a great patina
I purchased the strainer from an auction with the intent of using it for an arrangement. I really liked the color of the strainer it’s a different green compared to other enamel ware I have seen and it does go great with fall colors.
What You Gonna Need:
Vintage enamel ware strainer or any strainer you would like to repurpose
It doesn’t have to be vintage
Spanish moss or another filler for the base of your choice
Battery operated candle
A piece of floral foam or something to glue the base of the candle to.
You will need your flowers, flower picks, accent picks, I chose all fall colors because I made a fall arrangement. But you can choose colors for what ever season you want. Basically what ever you want to choose is okay.
1” burlap is what I used to put around the rim of the strainer, look at your strainer if you need something wider then go with that. Also, if you want to cover your candle like I did you will need burlap for that too.
This will make a great Fall arrangement for any home. Use suggestions: entry way table, coffee table, dining table, Bay window, covered porch
I hope that you can use this idea for your vintage strainer or any strainer to make a floral or Holiday arrangement. Another idea a farmhouse arrangement would be nice too!
